Drilling Rig Operations involve the process of exploring, and extraction of resources from the Earth’s sub-surface. It is the initial stage of providing energy for the majority of the industries in the world, as hydrocarbons/fossil fuels are the main source of energy and raw materials for many industrial processes.
Drilling Rig Personnel perform various jobs and tasks on the drilling rig/wellsite, both onshore and offshore, to ensure the safe, efficient and economic extraction of the hydrocarbons from beneath the earth’s surface. He/she operates various machinery and tools in a complex environment, all part of a greater process. Drilling rig operations personnel are required to perform the majority of their duties as part of a work group/team.
The drilling industry has a long and exciting history in Trinidad and Tobago, as the oil and gas industry has existed and evolved for over 100 years. Citizens of Trinidad and Tobago, who are certified and experienced, usually can find employment both locally and internationally. Oil and gas exploration and production provides many opportunities for rewarding and exciting job opportunities that challenge persons to think outside the box continuously in order to achieve outcomes and meet targets.
