How to get registered!
Submit the Application Form or letter of interest to the Chief Executive Officer of the National Training Agency of Trinidad & Tobago at approvals@ntatt.org
NTA’s CEO confirms receipt of application with a letter of acknowledgement.
Technical staff from the Apprenticeship department contacts and schedules an orientation meeting /session with the interested client.
If the applicant chooses to proceed with registration, they must complete the Apprenticeship Registration Form, ensuring it meets the apprenticeship quality criteria and includes necessary documents and evidence.
The completed Apprenticeship Registration Form is submitted to the technical staff of the Apprenticeship department for review and feedback. Gaps or areas needing attention are identified, and suggestions are provided to ensure that the final submission meets the requirements and criteria for registration.
Once identified gaps are addressed and the final documents meet the registration requirements, the NTA’s Technical Officers conduct onsite visits at training institutions and on the job training placement sites, to confirm evidence of practice, in accordance with stipulated quality criteria and requirements for registering an apprenticeship.
The final submission is forwarded to the office of the CEO, NTA
The NTA conducts an onsite quality assurance audit of the apprenticeship programme to ensure compliance with quality criteria. A report is generated based on the audit findings and if non-conformances are identified, the client is notified and advised on closing gaps. If there are no non-conformances, preliminary approval is granted, pending review and final approval from an independent committee.
Once approval is granted, the client signs an agreement with the NTA and the apprenticeship programme is registered, valid for a period of three (3) years.
The Monitoring & Evaluation of the registered apprenticeship programme/s commences, and is conducted regularly throughout the registration period. This is to examine the effectiveness of programme implementation and identify any gaps between the planned and achieved programme outcomes. Recommendations are provided to support continuous improvement if needed.
