How to claim the Apprenticeship Allowance

Once an apprenticeship programme is registered with the NTA, companies responsible for the on-the-job training component become eligible to apply for the ‘School to Work’ Apprenticeship Allowance.

To claim this benefit:

  1. The company must complete and submit the relevant application form to the NTA.
  2. The required supporting information will be verified by the NTA.
  3. Upon approval, a Certificate of Expenditure will be issued to the company.

The Certificate of Expenditure can then be used to claim the allowance from the Board of Inland Revenue.
