Templates for Conducting Candidate Assessments

Notwithstanding the above, Training Providers do have flexibility in the design of other assessment instruments used to establish/evaluate candidates’ competence. Training
providers are however reminded that any such instruments developed, must facilitate the collection of sufficient, valid, and reliable evidence. These instruments must also be appropriately aligned with the qualification level and contextual requirements of the relevant occupational area.

External Verification Requests

Approved training providers must submit requests for external verification, only after completing all assessment and internal verification activities. The candidates and the
corresponding competencies being claimed must be clearly identified and documented using the following steps:

  1. Ensure that all claims for candidates are entered on the TVET Control Centre (TVETCC) platform.
  2. Ensure completion of all internal verification activities, including the preparation of associated reports and documentation.
  3. Complete and submit the Request for External Verification form including all relevant information for candidates being verified along with the internal verification reports/ documents.

While every effort is made to accommodate the proposed dates submitted for External Verification, the specific scheduling is not guaranteed and remains contingent on the
availability of technical experts and other required resources. All requests for External Verification must be submitted to the NTA, Office of the CEO using the email: info@ntatt.org.
